that weekend in kandaya was unforgettable.
it was a long four-hour drive from the city. after having lunch at cebu’s popular lechon joint, we headed to bantayan, cebu island’s northern tip, for the wedding of phil and jewelle. it was our team’s first visit in bantayan and in kandaya. though kandaya was perfectly developed to be a premier resort, i love how they incorporate the design to the natural beauty of the place. it’s grand but unassuming. it’s high-end but never intimidating.
we started documenting the welcome dinner with a vibe that this weekend will be something. it won’t just be phil and jewelle’s wedding but a weekend of merry-making.
to be honest, i was a bit anxious. meeting the couple for the first time and working with a new set of suppliers were just few of my concerns. but then again, i reminded myself that i’ll be doing something i love to do and that is to document things that matter to the couple.
first day, friday.
friends from all over the world came to the welcome dinner prepared by the couple’s family. a lot of food, drinks and dancing.
second day, saturday.
the reason we were there is finally happening. days before, i was informed that they want the photos to be candid and natural. less direction and less poses. of course, i don’t mind.
it was a wedding of mixed emotions.
check out the photos to see and feel how that weekend went by.
